Sunday, November 29th, 1:00PM | Cornerstone Cares Day!
Occasionally, a month has a 5th Sunday. In all campuses, we will intentionally reserve those dates for a Cornerstone Cares Day. This is opportunity to collectively care for our communities beyond our normal lifestyle of being the hands and feet of Jesus 1-on-1.
No In-Person Service at 9:00AM on Sunday, November 29th. Instead, we ask that you participate in watching the message posted to our website and YouTube Channel. The message will be posted Friday afternoon. It will share our heart for Care Day and sets the tone of serving through love and relationship.
Summit Campus Project | Baby Hats For NICU/Bereaved Families
No sewing or crafty skills needed to join us in this service project! We will be putting together no-sew, baby hats for preemies born at University of CO Anschutz Hospital – a maternal fetal medicine practice that has taken care of two families in our campus in the past year. Newborn hats provided by hospitals are typically too large and too stiff for tiny babies born prematurely with delicate skin. We will join many other churches and non-profits in providing soft, stretchy stockinette hats that are perfectly sized for preemies. Whether a baby is stillborn or dies while fighting in the NICU, families take comfort in pairs of these stockinette hats. Hats are donated in pairs of two – one for the baby to wear, one as a keepsake for the family to remember them.
We will watch a movie / afternoon football game and enjoy snacks while cutting fabric and tying ribbons on the ends. Please bring your favorite snack. Church will provide some light refreshments, as well. If you have fabric scissors, please bring them!
